Job summary

FMC Agricultural Solutions in Schaffhausen is seeking a Senior Process Chemist to lead process innovations, optimize scale-up, and support tech transfer from NPI through the product lifecycle. You will collaborate across R&D, Manufacturing, Engineering, QA, Regulatory and EHS to ensure robust, safe, and cost-competitive processes.

You will mentor colleagues and establish best practices while maintaining critical process knowledge across FMC's global network.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of industrial process chemistry experience across agrochemical, pharma or specialty chemicals.
• Strong knowledge of organic, physical-organic and process chemistry with hands-on lab and scale-up experience.
• Experience supporting NPI, tech transfer and commercial manufacturing in a cross-functional setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead process innovation, optimization and scale-up to improve capacity, yield and safety.
• Provide technical leadership during pilot campaigns, commissioning, startup and manufacturing for NPI and commercial production.
• Support IP protection and develop differentiated process approaches.
• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Engineering, QA, Regulatory and EHS to ensure successful implementation.
