Johnson Controls is seeking a Sr. Engineering Manager to lead Platform & Hardware Engineering, guiding MCU/MPU platform adoption across PBUs and coordinating with Procurement and contract manufacturers.

The role emphasizes DFX practices, platform standardization, and end-to-end program delivery to meet schedule and quality targets. You will mentor engineers, drive an innovation culture, and lead cross-functional reviews while aligning with organizational health initiatives and performance

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Significant experience in hardware platform engineering, embedded systems, or NPI program management.
• Experience leading cross-functional/cross-PBU engineering programs.
• Experience with supplier/component risk management (SPR, BOM lifecycle analysis, AML).
• Strong understanding of DFX principles, ECAD tooling, and PCB/module design practices.

Aufgaben

• Own end-to-end delivery of MCU/MPU platform adoption across PBUs, including supply chain readiness and factory release.
• Lead the Chip Strategy initiative, including cadence calls, financial reviews, and quality discussions with factory and design partners.
• Drive release of platform designs to manufacturing, including DVT, FCC pre-screening, and ECN/FCN readiness.
• Manage platform sustainability across hardware, software, and test-station domains, coordinating with factories on production and component availability.
• Lead SPR governance — templates, RACI, and NPI documentation standards.
• Lead DFX reviews to improve manufacturability with PBU design teams.
• Act as technical lead and liaison between Engineering, Procurement, PBUs, and external CMs.
• Champion innovation culture and support team training and recognition programs.
