Randstad Switzerland supports a global leader in life sciences by recruiting a Senior Plastic Design Engineer. You will lead development of high-precision plastic consumables and mechanical components from ideation to series production, with a focus on injection-m molded parts and tooling.

Collaborating with internal teams and external partners, you will design components, optimize processes, and produce engineering drawings, BOMs and assembly instructions for manufacturing.

Qualifikationen

• Education in plastics-focused mechanical engineering.
• Experience as development engineer in plastics.
• Proficiency in injection-molded parts design and tooling.

Aufgaben

• Design components and assemblies from concept to production launch.
• Develop plastic solutions for liquid handling products (consumables, injection molded).
• Plan and design plastic components from ideation to series production with materials and tooling input.
• Optimize and simulate injection-molded parts and processes.
• Create detailed manufacturing docs: drawings, BOMs, assembly instructions.
• Source materials and procure components for prototypes.
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers and service providers.
