Senior Partnerships Lead – Global Agrifood Innovation

Job summary

FAO is seeking a Senior Partnerships Consultant to lead the Swiss Global Innovation Scaling Partnership with SFNV from its Geneva office. The role focuses on private sector engagement and sustained dialogue with Swiss authorities and innovation ecosystems.

The consultant will drive partnership development, co-creation and knowledge management across multiple projects, traveling as needed. The position is 11 months with a possibility of extension, based in Geneva, Switzerland.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant field; combination with two extra years of experience may substitute for an advanced degree.
• Working knowledge of English and limited knowledge of one other FAO official language.

Responsibilities

• Act as project lead of the FAO-SFNV partnership (approximately 80%).
• Facilitate linkages and dialogue between SFNV management, corporate members and FAO units.
• Engage with Swiss agrifood ecosystem to confirm technical and/or financial support for partners and projects.
• Provide technical support for the four main areas of cooperation: needs identification, matchmaking, fund raising, co-creation, and partnership development; implementation and scale-up.
• Undertake national travel and occasional international field missions as needed.
• Develop and apply a monitoring, learning and evaluation framework for scaling the partnership model.
• Ensure overall management of the partnership, coordinating activities and monitoring timelines and budgets.

Advanced university degree in Agriculture, Food Systems, Economics, Public Administration, International Relations, Political Sciences, Business Administration, Innovation Management or related field
