Senior Model-Based System Engineer (80-100%)

Summary

As the Senior Model-Based Systems Engineer, you will shape and drive the MBSE journey within R&D by defining methodologies, maintaining the systems engineering ontology, ensuring end-to-end traceability, and enabling teams to adopt best practices across the product development lifecycle. This is a highly influential role combining strategy, governance, methodology development, toolchain ownership, and coaching.

What You’ll Do

• Act as the senior subject matter expert for MBSE across Innovation (R&D).
• Define and drive MBSE best practices, standards, and methodologies throughout development projects.
• Own and continuously improve the MBSE ontology, ensuring complete traceability across development artifacts.
• Monitor compliance with MBSE principles and track KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
• Support methodology owners in developing, aligning, and enhancing engineering methodologies.
• Develop and maintain templates, standards, and documentation within the MBSE tool environment.
• Manage and enhance MBSE tools (e.g., iQuavis), including processes, integrations, licensing, testing, and validation.
• Deliver training, coaching, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to ensure sustainable MBSE adoption.

Who You Are

• MSc degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Several years of hands-on experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), ideally within embedded systems development.
• Proven experience designing and implementing systems engineering processes and methodologies from the ground up.
• Strong understanding of modular systems and product-line engineering across multiple product families.
• Experience with MBSE tools, toolchain integration, automation, APIs, scripting, and reporting.
• Knowledge of adjacent disciplines such as Product Line Engineering (MBPLE) and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
• Systems Engineering certification is an advantage.
• Winning mindset, resilience, strong stakeholder management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a structured, data-driven approach to decision-making.
