Lonza in Stein, Switzerland seeks a hands-on MES software engineer to translate manufacturing specifications into digital workflows and batch records on the shop floor.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Owners, Automation, and IT/OT teams to ensure seamless MES integration with SAP, LIMS, and automation platforms, and you will develop, test, and maintain MES functionalities using TypeScript to ensure data integrity and quality.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience working with MES systems in a configuration, development, or programming capacity, rather than solely as an end user.
• Solid understanding of GMP-regulated manufacturing environments, with the ability to translate production requirements into compliant digital solutions.
• Hands‑on programming experience in any modern programming language and a strong interest in developing and optimizing manufacturing applications.
• Fluent English communication skills are essential to collaborate effectively across global, cross‑functional teams.
• A proactive and analytical mindset with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities across systems and interfaces; TypeScript, Fill & Finish experience, IT‑related education, and German language skills (or willingness to learn) are considered strong advantages.
