Senior Life & Health Underwriting and Pricing Specialist

An established international insurance organisation is seeking a Senior Life & Health Underwriting and Pricing Specialist to join its specialist underwriting function in Zurich.

This role offers the opportunity to work on complex group insurance risks across multiple international markets, combining technical underwriting expertise, pricing analysis and strategic collaboration with local teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess complex group insurance cases across Life, Disability, Accident and Health, including risk exposure, pricing, claims experience, policy terms and reinsurance considerations.
• Review underwriting referrals, challenge pricing assumptions and develop commercially sound solutions for non-standard cases.
• Support and strengthen underwriting frameworks, technical standards and risk management practices across international markets.
• Contribute to technical reviews, product development and pricing initiatives while sharing expertise with local underwriting teams.

Candidate Profile

• Strong experience in group insurance underwriting and/or pricing within Life, Disability or Health insurance or reinsurance.
• An actuarial background is advantageous.
• In-depth understanding of group protection products, risk assessment and underwriting principles.
• Experience working across different markets, products and business environments.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and make sound decisions in complex situations.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
