Zusammenfassung

Zurich-based telecommunications leader seeks an experienced DevOps Engineer to own the GitLab platform operations in a hybrid work setting. The role is a 1 September 2026 to 31 December 2027 contract with potential for permanent internalization and 80-100% workload.

You will maintain a self-managed GitLab CI/CD environment, design pipelines, and integrate tooling across Docker/Kubernetes, IaC, and security scanners, collaborating with development teams. Fluent English; German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent certification or comparable further education with several years of experience.
• Extensive experience operating and administering GitLab Self-Managed, including GitLab CI/CD and runner management.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts, pipeline design, and automation.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes and their CI/CD integration.
• Knowledge of IaC and tools like Ansible, Terraform, Helm.
• Solid Linux and system engineering experience.
• Ability to quickly learn new platforms and deliver value from day one.

Aufgaben

• Operate, maintain, and enhance the GitLab Self-Managed platform as the central CI/CD and collaboration tool.
• Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines and templates for development teams.
• Integrate tooling including container registries, artifact management, code quality tools, and security scanning.
• Automate provisioning and configuration of GitLab infrastructure using IaC and CI/CD.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of the platform.
• Support development teams in improving their CI/CD workflows.
• Define monitoring, alerting, backup, and disaster recovery models.
