Michael Bailey Associates seeks an experienced DevOps Engineer in Zurich to build and operate a modern cloud platform. You will develop Golang-based backend services for Kubernetes orchestration, design REST APIs and GraphQL services, and contribute to frontend work with React and Material UI.

We're looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join an exciting project based in Zurich. You'll play a key role in building and operating a modern cloud platform, developing scalable backend services, automating infrastructure, and working with the latest Kubernetes technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Golang-based backend services for orchestrating Kubernetes environments.
• Design and integrate REST APIs and GraphQL services.
• Build and enhance frontend components using React and Material UI.
• Implement workflow automation and orchestration using Temporal.
• Build, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Manage monitoring, logging and alerting across cloud environments.
• Work with PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Kafka.
• Automate provisioning and configuration using Ansible, Helm and Kustomize.
• Operate and continuously improve business-critical platforms following the "You build it, you run it" DevOps philosophy.

Required Skills:

• Strong commercial experience with Golang.
• Excellent knowledge of Kubernetes and containerised environments.
• Experience designing REST APIs and GraphQL.
• Strong DevOps background with GitLab CI, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with React and Material UI.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Kafka.
• Experience with Ansible, Helm and Kustomize.
• Fluent German and English communication skills.
