Michael Kors in Manno, Switzerland seeks a Senior General Ledger Accountant to strengthen our EMEA Finance team. You will perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings for multiple legal entities, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, and ensure US GAAP compliance.

You will coordinate statutory reporting, audits, VAT and intercompany reconciliations; work with SAP, support SOX controls, and drive process improvements.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of accounting experience in an international environment.
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Experience with US GAAP, internal controls, statutory reporting, and external audits.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience using SAP.

Aufgaben

• Perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities for assigned legal entities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements.
• Support statutory audits, tax filings, VAT and Intrastat reporting.
• Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
• Act as a key finance contact for SAP/accounting system queries and process improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support special projects.
• Support SOX/internal control requirements and ensure proper documentation.
