Job summary

Audi Revolut F1 Team is seeking an experienced Senior FEM Structural Analysis Engineer to join our high-performance Structural Design and Analysis department in Hinwil, Switzerland. You will perform advanced FE analyses on composite and metallic components and contribute to lightweight, robust race car structures.

Qualifications

• MSc in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• ≥5 years in structural analysis in motorsport, automotive, or aerospace.
• Proven FEM sign-off experience for complex composites and metals.
• Strong structural mechanics, fatigue, buckling, impact, vibration, and optimization knowledge.
• Experience under aggressive development timelines with several concurrent projects.
• Bolted and bonded joint analysis correlated with testing.
• First-principles engineering mindset with strong analytical skills.
• Ability to make sound technical decisions under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication across multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• FE solvers proficiency; Abaqus Standard required; Abaqus Explicit advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced linear and non-linear finite element analyses on composite and metallic components and assemblies.
• Define and validate structural load cases using first-principles engineering, simulation data, and track feedback.
• Support design and optimisation of suspension, aerodynamic surfaces, chassis structures, gearbox and mechanical assemblies.
• Deliver structural sign-off documentation ensuring compliance with standards, FIA regulations, and timelines.
• Collaborate with Design Engineers to achieve lightweight, robust solutions through iterative optimisation.
• Develop and improve analysis methodologies, automation tools, and best practices to increase efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior analysts and contribute to team development.
• Support cross-functional projects involving vehicle dynamics, data analysis, and multidisciplinary optimisation.
