Job summary

avacone Switzerland is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement and maintain secure, resilient enterprise networks across data centers, campuses and cloud environments. You will ensure reliable connectivity and support operational excellence.

The role requires Cisco expertise, strong routing and switching knowledge, network security concepts, and experience with automation and IaC. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and participate in on‑call rotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 6–10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Cisco technologies in enterprise networks.
• Familiar with monitoring, performance analysis and incident handling.
• Ability to document technical solutions and communicate with stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating work on technical projects is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Network Design and Architecture: Design and implement enterprise network solutions meeting security and resilience requirements.
• Network Infrastructure: Configure, maintain and support routing, switching and connectivity services across data centres, campus, remote-access and hybrid-cloud environments.
• Network Security and Segmentation: Implement segmentation and secure connectivity with cybersecurity teams.
• Network Operations: Maintain stability, performance, capacity and availability; participate in on-call support.
