Mantell Associates is partnering with a leading Swiss CDMO to recruit a Senior Manager Project Engineering for Basel. The role offers varied projects as part of the plant fleet renewal and growth strategy.

You will lead cross‑functional teams and manage capital investments across process engineering, infrastructure and laboratories. Requirements include a FH/HF degree, GMP knowledge, ATEX and API experience, and strong German and English communication.

Qualificações

• FH/HF degree in process engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in process engineering and capital investment project management.
• GMP knowledge and pharmaceutical industry experience.
• ATEX and API environment experience.
• Independent, performance-driven and flexible with strong communication.

Responsabilidades

• Independently lead projects and sub-projects in process engineering, infrastructure and laboratories from conceptual design through implementation.
• Lead project teams, both internal and external.
• Responsible for planning, coordinating and carrying out capital investment projects and plant optimisations.
• Concept, basic and detail engineering.
• Scheduling, cost control, construction supervision and commissioning.
• A project typically covers refurbishments and new builds of pharmaceutical process plants.

This is a varied, responsible role in a field with room to develop, offering interesting and varied projects as part of their growth strategy and the renewal of the plant fleet.

Senior Manager Project Engineering - Responsibilities:

• Independently lead projects and sub-projects in process engineering, infrastructure and laboratories, from conceptual design through to implementation
• Lead project teams, both internal and external
• Responsible for planning, coordinating and carrying out capital investment projects and plant optimisations
• Concept, basic and detail engineering
• Scheduling, cost control, construction supervision and commissioning
• A project typically covers refurbishments and new builds of pharmaceutical process plants

Senior Manager Project Engineering - Requirements:

• University of Applied Sciences (FH/HF) degree or equivalent training, plus solid experience in process engineering
• Several years of experience managing and leading capital investment projects
• Experience in a pharmaceutical environment (GMP knowledge)
• Experience in the ATEX area
• Experience in the API environment
• Independent, performance-driven and flexible personality
• Convincing organisational and communication skills

• Commitment, empathy and team spirit
• Good German and English, written and spoken
