Scope
- Act as Engineering & Maintenance expert lead in capital investment projects for the construction and commissioning of new biopharma facilities, supporting feasibility studies and conceptual and basic design phases.
- Act as the interface between the investment-engineering organisation (Global Engineering, contractors) and operations, with main responsibility for delivering all input required for utilities.
- Deliver all input required for the use of engineering and qualification tools for construction, commissioning and qualification of the new facilities.
- Implement the maintenance strategy, standards and concepts in the new facilities in alignment with the wider site, with a focus on cost-efficient preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Collaborate with the Operations Heads on defining and setting up the operations organisation and the associated headcount ramp-up plans.
- Drive the ambition level of the facility design by bringing innovation and operational improvements into the design, and by sharing operational and process experience with the design team.
- Support the preparation of GMP and safety risk assessments and contribute technical expertise to those analyses.
- Support the future production and project teams on all questions of plant engineering, maintenance and utilities.
Profile — Required criteria (knockout)
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Automation.
- Proven track record as plant engineering and/or maintenance lead in a GMP biopharma or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience of capital investment projects through design, construction, commissioning and qualification.
- Practical command of maintenance strategy and concepts, including preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Working knowledge of clean and black utilities for biopharma facilities.
- English and German at professional working level, both used daily.
- Availability to work 100% on site in Visp, 5 days per week.
