AlpineAI in Switzerland is seeking a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer to join our small team in Zurich or Davos. You will own CI/CD pipelines, automation, and IaC, and you will manage stateful workloads across on‑prem infrastructure and cloud integrations.

You report to the CTO and share on‑call duties, shaping scalable, secure deployment strategies. You should have strong scripting skills (Python/TypeScript/JVM), hands‑on experience with containers and Kubernetes, and fluency in German and

Qualifikationen

• Solid production experience with containers and Kubernetes and GitOps-style delivery.
• Secrets and access as code management experience (SOPS, Vault or similar).
• Experience operating stateful workloads (Relational databases, caches, queues).
• Good observability mindset and ability to help engineers debug services.
• Robust scripting skills and reading/writing code in Python, TypeScript or JVM languages.
• Analytical, problem-solving mindset with troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration; team-first mentality.
• About four years of hands-on on-call experience running systems.
• Fluent in German and English.

• Collaborate with developers to build reliable, scalable development pipelines with automated releases.
• Coach frontend and backend engineers to monitor their code in live environments.
• Steer discussions on scalable architecture, balancing trade-offs with cost and security.
• Collaborate with the team to streamline software releases and ensure deployment integrity.
• Manage, monitor, and scale infrastructure, from clusters to underlying hardware, ensuring stable performance.
• Maintain thorough documentation on deployments, processes and tools.
