ABB is seeking an experienced Lead DC-DC Converter System Design for the Direct Current Data Center incubator. The role involves leading power electronics system design, from concept to qualification, for 800 V DC bus with energy storage integration.

You will work with SST and DC-DC teams, drive testing and certification, and contribute to a global R&D program. On-site in Baden-Dättwil is expected, with occasional travel.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or PhD with focus on Power Electronics and high power applications.
• Strong background in power electronics system design and development (>5 years).
• Experience leading and organizing technical backlogs for R&D teams.
• Experience in modelling, simulation and power electronics analysis using modern tools.
• Practical testing, validation, and productization in LV/HV environments expected.
• Fluency in English; German is a plus; willingness to travel.

Aufgaben

• Lead the Power Electronics System Design, specification, testing and qualification of the DC-DC converter sub-systems.
• Coordinate conceptual system design and integration with LV lab validation.
• Collaborate with Control Hardware/Software, Mechanical, and Verification teams for productization.
