Job summary

ABB is seeking an experienced Lead DC-DC Converter System Design for its Direct Current Data Center incubator in Baden-Daettwil, Switzerland. You will drive the system design, integrate power electronics with energy storage, and lead testing and qualification of the DC-DC converter in a multinational R&D environment.

You will collaborate with architecture and product teams, contribute to productization and certification, and participate in IP and standards activities while traveling occasionally.

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in electrical engineering with focus on power electronics.
5+ years in power electronics design and development.
Experience with high power and medium voltage converters is an advantage.
Experience leading technical backlogs for R&D teams.
Fluent in English; German a plus.
Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

Lead the DC-DC converter system design, testing and qualification.
Collaborate with SST and DC-DC teams across architecture and labs.
Coordinate productization, validation and certification activities.
Support IP protection and standards contributions for DC data center solutions.
