Job summary

SIX Group Services Ltd. in Zurich is looking for a Senior Software Engineer focused on data to build Python-based pipelines powering market, reference, and index data.

You will own end-to-end data processing from ingestion to distribution, collaborate with product, architecture, QA, and SRE teams, and deliver scalable, observable systems with automated testing in a hybrid, flexible work model.

Proficiency in English is required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proficient Python for building production-grade data pipelines.
• Strong data engineering expertise: ETL, modelling, lineage.
• Experience with distributed, data-intensive systems and performance.
• Solid software engineering practices: CI, tests, docs.
• Experience with Apache Airflow or Metaflow; degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate Python-based data pipelines and services.
• Own the data lifecycle from ingestion to distribution.
• Ensure traceable, reliable processing with tests and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, QA, and SRE teams to improve data platforms.
• Deliver scalable and observable systems handling large data volumes.
