Avaloq, founded in Switzerland, is seeking a Senior Database Platform Engineer to transform Oracle operations into an automated, secure, and scalable platform. Working within an agile delivery team, you will design and maintain automation across the entire database lifecycle, ensuring reliable, auditable services with minimal manual intervention.

Key tasks include provisioning, cloning, backups, DR testing, GitOps-driven configuration, immutable infrastructure, and collaboration with Cloud

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA or Database Engineer in a production environment.
• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable field.
• Strong Oracle expertise including Data Guard, RMAN, backup and recovery, and tuning.
• Automation experience with Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu, Git, and scripting.
• Knowledge of OCI or other public clouds, Linux, and security/compliance basics.

Aufgaben

• Automate the complete Oracle database lifecycle from provisioning to decommissioning.
• Develop and maintain automation that provisions databases to Avaloq standards.
• Deliver automated workflows for day-to-day database operations and recovery actions.
• Manage database configuration via GitOps with full version control and auditability.
• Build backup, recovery, and DR automation including Data Guard and DR testing.
