Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Data Analyst based in Switzerland.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will transform complex gaming and player data into actionable insights that drive product performance, user engagement, and business growth. You will work at the intersection of data analytics, statistics, and data science, helping teams understand player behavior and uncover opportunities for product improvement. Through advanced analytical techniques, experimentation, and predictive modeling, you will identify key performance drivers and support data-informed decisions. You will collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Product Managers in a highly technical, data-driven environment. Your work will contribute to improving gaming experiences, validating product hypotheses, and developing innovative analytical solutions. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical expertise with a product-oriented mindset and a passion for turning data into measurable business impact.

Accountabilities
  • Analyze large volumes of game and player data to identify patterns, trends, behavioral dynamics, and opportunities for business growth.
  • Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations for product improvements, helping stakeholders understand what works, what does not, and where to focus next.
  • Conduct in-depth investigations into performance anomalies, game features, and changes in player behavior to determine underlying causes and explain their business implications.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Product Managers to develop hypotheses, validate assumptions, and contribute to hands-on data science and machine learning tasks.
  • Apply statistical analysis and causal inference techniques to identify the factors influencing user behavior and product performance.
  • Support predictive model development and validation through feature engineering, dataset preparation, model evaluation, and A/B testing.
  • Design and implement experiments, evaluate their results, and provide statistically sound recommendations to support product decisions.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance monitoring tools that help stakeholders track key performance indicators and make informed decisions.
  • Define and refine metrics for new products and features, translating high-level business requirements into measurable analytical frameworks.
  • Communicate complex analytical results clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Leverage AI coding assistants and other AI-powered tools to automate repetitive tasks, improve analytical workflows, and enhance the quality and efficiency of deliverables.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or another quantitative discipline.

  • Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed data processing technologies such as BigQuery, Spark, Hive, or equivalent tools.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, data transformation, and data wrangling.
  • Strong Python skills and practical experience with data science libraries such as pandas and scikit-learn.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and dashboard development using tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Solid knowledge of experimental design, statistical testing, A/B testing, hypothesis testing, and confidence intervals.
