Zusammenfassung

Mercantil Bank (Schweiz) AG seeks an experienced Compliance Officer with a Latin American background to cover the full spectrum of bank compliance tasks in Zürich. You will act as a central point of contact for all regulatory issues, monitor compliance with laws and internal rules, and drive audits, due diligence, and policy development.

The role requires a university degree in Swiss law/economics/business, 7+ years in banking compliance, fluency in Spanish, plus German; English is an advantage.

Qualifikationen

• University degree preferably in Swiss law, economics or business administration
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as Compliance Officer in a Bank, ideally Private Banking / Wealth Management
• Latin American background with deep understanding of the Latin American financial market and the US financial system
• Excellent command of written and spoken Spanish is a must, fluent in German, English is an advantage
• Analytical, precise, independent and solution-oriented working style
• Experience or interest in new technologies and IT affinity

Aufgaben

• Acting as central point of contact for all Compliance issues
• Monitoring and ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and internal regulations
• Executing Compliance audits and controls
• Analyzing and clarifying background of transactions and due diligence
• Development of policies and procedures, and continuous improvement of compliance processes
• Advising, supporting and training employees related to Compliance topics
• Implementing regulatory requirements and internal directives
• Improving current and implementing new IT systems
