About the Role:

For our office in Bern, we are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Project Manager to lead complex cloud transformation and outsourcing projects for mid-sized enterprise customers across Switzerland.

This is a client-facing leadership role for a proven Project Manager — not a hands-on engineer — who deeply understands cloud environments, cloud migration strategies, and full IT outsourcing operations.

You will take ownership of projects from pre-sales through delivery and ongoing operations, acting as the trusted advisor to customers while coordinating internal technical teams and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate combines strong project governance and operational leadership with excellent customer management, escalation handling, and commercial awareness.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end cloud and infrastructure projects across multiple customers simultaneously (typically 5–10 projects in parallel)
• Manage cloud migration initiatives, including:
• On-premise to cloud migrations
• Multi-cloud transformations
• Modern workplace and infrastructure projects
• Coordinate and steer cross-functional internal teams, partners, and subcontractors
• Act as the main point of contact for customers throughout project delivery and operational phases
• Ensure successful delivery across timeline, budget, quality, scope, and governance
• Manage project financials, budgets, reporting, logistics, and steering committees (SteerCos)
• Handle escalations and de-escalations professionally while maintaining strong customer relationships
• Support sales and pre-sales activities, including customer workshops, RFPs, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities
• Drive operational excellence and ensure high customer satisfaction
• Take full ownership of project governance, milestone planning, risk management, and delivery processes

What You Bring:

• Proven experience as a Senior IT or Cloud Project Manager in complex enterprise environments
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies and hosting environments, including:
• AWS and/or other public cloud platforms
• Experience delivering cloud migration and infrastructure transformation projects
• Strong understanding of full IT outsourcing models, including environments covering:
• Infrastructure
• Networking
• Active Directory
• Security
• Experience managing workplace, platform, infrastructure, or cloud-related projects
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong commercial mindset with experience supporting pre-sales and customer growth initiatives
• Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments
• Experience working with customers ranging from 40 to 1,000 employees
• Swiss German fluency is mandatory
• Fluent German and English communication skills

Technical Knowledge (preferred)

You do not need to be hands-on, but a strong understanding of the following areas is important:

• Modern Workplace / Microsoft 365
• VMware or Hyper-V
• Networking technologies (firewalls, routing, switching)
• Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, or OKD
• Software-defined infrastructure
