Sword Group is seeking a Cloud Security Architect to join a Bern-based project focused on a sovereign cloud program with Swiss authorities. The role centers on designing and evolving cloud security architectures, adhering to Zero Trust, and drafting public tenders for future cloud solutions.
The candidate will produce rigorous technical documentation, collaborate with security engineers and stakeholders, and travel 1–2 days per week to Berne as needed.
We are opening a position for a Cloud Security Architect to strengthen our client's team based in Berne. This role is part of a strategic sovereign cloud program led by Swiss authorities, with a strong focus on cybersecurity. The project, ongoing until 2032, aims to modernize public infrastructures through an ambitious digital transformation, under the direction of a recognized former CISO.
Design and evolve cloud security architecture following Zero Trust principles.
Actively participate in drafting public tenders for the future cloud solution.
Contribute to setting up a POC for replacing the existing NDR solution.
Produce structured technical deliverables: architecture documents, specifications, procurement files.
Identify vulnerabilities in hybrid environments and propose corrective measures.
Work closely with cloud security engineers and institutional stakeholders.
Ensure compliance of proposed solutions with regulatory and security requirements.
Participate in enhancing the project team's expertise in cloud cybersecurity.
Proven experience in security architecture in hybrid cloud environments.
Mastery of Zero Trust concepts and NDR technologies.
Ability to produce rigorous technical documentation, tailored to public sector standards.
Excellent communication skills and strong sense of confidentiality.
Experience in projects with a strong regulatory or governmental component is appreciated.
Fluent English is essential; proficiency in French and/or German is a plus.
Autonomy, analytical mindset, and ability to work in a transforming environment.
Availability for occasional travel to Berne (1 to 2 days per week).
