Zusammenfassung

Valtech is seeking a Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer to own and evolve the client’s cloud platform on Azure and GCP. You will lead DevOps tooling, promote best practices, and collaborate across teams to deliver scalable cloud solutions.

The role requires strong Kubernetes expertise, Python scripting, and fluency in German and English. Hybrid work Model with international collaboration opportunities is offered.

Qualifikationen

• Completed degree in Computer Science or related field
• Several years of experience as a DevOps Engineer in a cloud environment
• Strong hands-on expertise in Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and IaC tools (Terraform and/or OpenTofu)
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies across Azure/GCP

• Co-own the development and operation of the client’s cloud platform (Azure, GCP)
• Advance the DevOps tooling: GitLab CI pipelines, ArgoCD, Apigee API Gateway, Backstage, Terraform, OpenTofu, Datadog, SonarQube, Python scripts
• Act as go-to expert for Kubernetes
• Drive and contribute to architecture decisions for the cloud platform
• Enable and support software development teams in using the cloud platform and DevOps tooling

The role

As a Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer, you are passionate about experience innovation and eager to push the boundaries of what’s possible. You bring at least 5 years of experience, a growth mindset and a drive to make a lasting impact.

Must have qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:

• Completed degree in Computer Science or related field
• Several years of experience as a DevOps Engineer in a cloud environment
• Strong hands-on expertise in Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and IaC tools (Terraform and/or OpenTofu)
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies across Azure/GCP
• Solid Python skills
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken

Nice to have qualifications

• Experience with Kafka (Confluent Cloud)
• Experience with GitLab CI pipelines and OAuth 2.0
• Experience with Datadog and SonarQube
