Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a CI/CD and DevOps Expert in Testing (80-100%) to design and implement CI/CD strategies for development, testing, release, and support across diverse projects, including cloud deployment and AI solutions. You will build pipelines with GitLab and AWS, ensure observability, and contribute to test architecture within a global development team.

The role requires a master’s or bachelor’s in CS/engineering, strong GitLab CI/CD skills, REST API testing, and hands-on test

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
• Proficient with GitLab CI/CD.
• Experience in REST API testing.
• Ability to review, verify, and validate software code.
• Experience in GUI, API, and E2E test automation in product, integration or system testing.
• Familiar with SAFe and Scrum agile processes.
• Proactive, growth-minded, collaborative in global teams.
• Strong English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate CI/CD strategies for development, testing, release, update and support across multiple projects including legacy software, cloud deployment and AI solutions.
• Create and manage CI pipelines for automated tests and cloud deployment using GitLab and AWS; support staged deployments and production performance.
• Design, setup and maintain observability tools to monitor asset health and security.
• Interpret tool outputs to derive work-items and actions.
• Contribute to test architecture and overall test strategy.
• Collaborate with global development and test teams and mentor colleagues within an agile team.

Your new responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, and executing CI/CD strategies covering development, testing, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operations, across multiple projects including legacy software, cloud deployment and AI solutions
• Designing, implementing, and orchestrating CI pipelines for automated tests, design, setup and maintain cloud deployment mechanisms using GitLab pipelines and AWS allowing for:

- staged deployments for development, integration, and production environment

- production grade availability and performance of asset

• Design, setup and maintain observability tools to support in asset operations
• Observe tools and services that provide inputs on asset health and security status, interpret and derive work-items
• Contribute to test architecture and test strategy
• Work and collaborate in global development and test teams
• Be part of an agile development team, share and develop your knowledge and mentor other team members

Your talents and experience

• A master’s, or bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or in a related field
• Proficient in GitLab with regards to CI/CD
• Experience in REST API testing
• Have the technical skills to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project
• Experience in test automation (GUI, API, E2E) in product, integration or system test
• Familiar with test and development processes of agile software development projects: SAFe, Scrum
• Proactive, motivated and committed person with a growth mindset, that likes to cooperate with other teams in a global setup and is willing to bring our solutions to the latest level of technology
• Strong English skills, German skills are beneficial
