Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced FEA engineer to design and implement robust simulation workflows for automotive safety and electronics durability. You will own end-to-end processes from CAD prep to post-processing, ensuring reproducible results and scalable templates across teams.

The role emphasizes Python scripting, model quality, and collaboration with Product and Engineering to shape platform requirements. A Swiss-based, on-site position in Lausanne.

Qualifikationen

  • 5–8 years of hands‑on FEA simulation experience in vehicle crash, drop test, pedestrian and/or passenger safety
  • Production‑quality modeling experience in automotive or consumer electronics environments
  • Deep expertise in mechanical pre‑solve‑post tools including ABAQUS, LS-Dyna, Radioss, Hypermesh, Simlab, ANSA, Meta, and d3plot
  • Strong command of structural non‑linear simulation, including implicit/explicit solvers, contact formulations, material models, and failure criteria
  • Experience with automotive safety simulations or product durability testing
  • Experience with end‑to‑end simulation workflows: CAD preparation, meshing, solving, post‑processing, and visualization
  • Python scripting and programming; C++, Java, or C# valued
  • Ability to own deliverables independently and communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non‑specialist audiences
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Familiarity with AI‑assisted simulation acceleration, design optimisation, or parametric study automation is nice to have
  • Comfort with Git, modern development environments/IDEs, and basic CI is nice to have
  • Experience with HPC and Cloud resources and GPU acceleration is nice to have
  • Right to work in the country where the role is located

  • Define accuracy and speed requirements and validate against benchmark data
  • Deliver repeatable, production-grade workflows using CAE tools
  • Script data preprocessing, solution packaging, and workflow integration in Python
  • Maintain solution reproducibility standards and contribute to internal tooling libraries
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to define simulation-specific platform requirements
  • Validate new capabilities and feed real-world use cases into development priorities
