Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Backend Developer (Java/Spring Boot) to contribute to a high-performance platform for the global business aviation industry. You will build robust backend services, API integrations, and agentic AI workflows in a remote-first, international environment.

You will own features end-to-end, work with PostgreSQL/Hibernate, Kafka, and modern tooling to ensure reliability, performance, and maintainability while collaborating with product and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Six+ years of hands-on Java backend development experience (Java 17+ preferred).
• Strong Spring Boot and Hibernate experience in production-grade apps.
• Proven ability to build scalable distributed systems and REST APIs.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka).
• Familiarity with LLM-based AI features, RAG pipelines, tool interactions, and orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize backend services with Java/Spring Boot.
• Deliver end-to-end features from requirements to testing and deployment.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs for web and mobile integrations.
• Work on distributed services with reliable, scalable communication.
• Implement event-driven workflows and Kafka-based messaging.
• Model relational data with PostgreSQL and Hibernate.
• Apply AI/agentic workflows and LLM integration in back-end components.
• Promote code quality with tests, reviews, and secure practices.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ship business outcomes.
• Identify performance and reliability improvements across the platform.
