Julius Baer is seeking a senior backend and distributed systems engineer to design, build, and operate mission‑critical financial systems. You will own end‑to‑end delivery of scalable Java services, with a focus on low‑latency and high availability, collaborating across Zurich and Singapore.

You will shape architecture and operational models for a strategic new channel integrated with the bank's e‑banking ecosystem, working with product managers and cross‑functional teams.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with Java, Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Strong background in distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of JPA, JDBC and JMS; design for low latency and high throughput.
• Cloud experience, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Security focus including OAuth2 and API security; IAM concepts.

Aufgaben

• Design and evolve robust distributed systems balancing scalability, latency, consistency, and fault tolerance.
• Develop and maintain high‑performance backend services and APIs using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Optimize end‑to‑end latency, asynchronous processing, and IO efficiency.
• Integrate complex financial platforms and third‑party services with data integrity and reliability.
• Collaborate with product managers and global teams across locations to deliver scalable solutions.
