Michael Bailey Associates is seeking an experienced Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to join our client in Bern, Switzerland. You will design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure with IaC, Terraform, and Azure services.

The role requires fluent German (Swiss German preferred) and strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines, automation, and modern DevOps practices within enterprise environments. Hybrid work and onsite collaboration are expected.

Qualifikationen

• Senior DevOps Engineer or Azure DevOps Engineer with proven experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure.
• Extensive Terraform and IaC experience.
• Experience with Puppet or similar configuration management tools.
• Strong CI/CD pipeline experience using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Linux and/or Windows Server administration skills.
• Scripting skills: PowerShell, Bash, Python.
• Git/version control best practices.
• Knowledge of cloud security, networking, and governance.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-700, AZ-900, DevOps Engineer Expert).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AKS.
• Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKS).
• Knowledge of secret management and configuration management practices.
• Experience in enterprise-scale or regulated environments.
• Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.

Aufgaben

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure using IaC.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
• Ensure high availability, security, performance, and scalability of cloud environments.
• Support both cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure solutions.
• Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows environments.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
• Apply DevOps best practices related to automation, version control, and continuous improvement.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
• Support incident management, root-cause analysis, and service optimisation.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical standards and documentation.
