Job summary

ALLPS is seeking an experienced Microsoft Azure Engineer to support a long-term enterprise project in Basel. The role focuses on designing, configuring and maintaining secure, scalable Azure cloud environments across multi-tier infrastructure.

You will work on IaC automation, cloud networking, monitoring and DR planning, collaborating with architects and security engineers. German language proficiency is required for the technical panel interview.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years hands-on Azure engineering or enterprise cloud architecture experience.
• Experience designing, configuring and maintaining secure distributed multi-tier Azure environments.
• IaC with Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, PowerShell or Azure CLI.
• Knowledge of Azure core services: Web Apps, Storage, Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, Entra ID, Monitor, Log Analytics.
• Experience building monitoring, alerting, log aggregation, dashboards, auto-scaling and self-healing mechanisms.
• Strong understanding of Azure security boundaries, network segmentation, identity management and DR planning.
• Ability to create clear technical documentation including architecture diagrams, network layouts, configuration guides and DR blueprints.
• Experience troubleshooting complex Azure infrastructure issues and coordinating escalations with Microsoft or other vendors.
• Understanding of enterprise cloud operations, change management, incident management and service lifecycle practices.
• Fluent German communication for technical panel interview.
• EU/EFTA nationality or Swiss residency/work permit required

Responsibilities

• Design, map, configure and maintain secure distributed multi-tier computing topologies within Azure.
• Develop, test and maintain declarative infrastructure-as-code blocks (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, PowerShell, Azure CLI).
• Build and tune monitoring, alerts, log aggregation, and auto-scaling/self-healing loops.
• Author and validate architectural schematics, network layout diagrams, security boundaries and disaster recovery blueprints.
• Lead diagnostic resolution and coordinate escalations with Microsoft engineers during incidents.
