Job description

Project: For an exciting banking project in the field of investments and retirement provision, we are seeking an experienced Senior Avaloq Engineer with solid Java expertise. The focus is on the parameterization and enhancement of portfolio management functions, as well as the implementation of master data extensions within the Avaloq core banking platform. Additionally, you will develop Java backend components and Kafka-based interfaces, modernize existing investment proposal features, and support ongoing application operations as part of an agile DevOps team.

Responsibilities:

• Parameterization and enhancement of functions within the Avaloq core banking platform, specifically in the area of investments and retirement provision
• Implementation of portfolio management functions and enhancements to master data management
• Design and development of interfaces for integration with other software systems, with a focus on Kafka and event streaming
• Further development and maintenance of Java-based backend components
• Contribution to the modernization and revision of existing functions, interfaces, and service calls
• Support for ongoing application operations, including the analysis and resolution of technical issues
• Collaboration within an agile team, following Scrum and SAFe methodologies

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of practical experience in Avaloq parameterization, plus several years of experience with Java backend development
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe) and a willingness to take on DevOps operational tasks
• An analytical, structured approach to work, along with strong team-working and communication skills
• Knowledge of Kafka/event streaming, interface integration, as well as Avaloq portfolio management, master data, and banking processes in the area of investments & retirement provision.
