ABB Switzerland Ltd., Schaffhausen, is seeking a Service Technician to support highly automated production equipment and preventive maintenance. The role involves collaboration with manufacturing teams and external service providers to ensure smooth operations.

The position requires a vocational qualification in automation-related fields, 10+ years in industrial automation, and willingness to work a three-shift schedule with on-call duties after onboarding.

Qualifikationen

• Completed vocational training in Automation Technician, Mechatronics Technician, Mechanical Technician, Production Technician, Electrician or comparable field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial automation, ideally in manufacturing.
• NIV13 or NIV15 electrical installation certification is an advantage, or willingness to obtain it with ABB support.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with a proactive and independent working style.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office and SAP; excellent German (written and spoken) skills; English is an advantage.

Aufgaben

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues on highly automated production equipment (mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic).
• Perform preventive maintenance and servicing of production equipment.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams, Production Engineering, and external service providers to ensure smooth production operations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Management activities.
