Nicoll Curtin is seeking a Senior Auditor/Lead Auditor with strong experience in banking audits, risk management, and financial crime to independently lead audits across multiple locations, including Panama and Bahamas. You will partner with senior management and drive risk reviews from scoping to reporting.

Key responsibilities include end-to-end audits, risk assessment across financial crime and business conduct, and delivering clear audit reports to leadership.

Formación

• 5+ years experience as Lead Auditor in banking/internal/external audit.
• Banking apprenticeship or degree or equivalent.
• CIA, CFA or equivalent is advantageous.
• CPA qualification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of banking audit and risk management.
• Avaloq experience is an advantage.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication.

Responsabilidades

• Lead audits end-to-end, including planning, scoping, execution, and reporting.

• Draft clear, concise audit reports with actionable conclusions.
• Act as sparring partner to management and senior stakeholders.

• Prepare statements and reports for Head of Group Internal Audit, Board of Directors.
• Take responsibility for Panama and Bahamas locations, including risk assessments and planning.
• Participate in special investigations and internal audit initiatives.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert across relevant risk areas.

Are you a Senior Auditor with strong experience in banking audit, risk management, and financial crime or business conduct?

We are currently supporting a client with a requirement for a Lead Auditor.

This role offers the opportunity to operate across a diverse range of risk topics while independently leading audits from scoping through reporting.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders, act as a sparring partner to management, and take ownership of selected international locations while responding to an evolving business and regulatory environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead audits end-to-end, including planning, scoping, execution, and timely communication of results
• Assess risks across areas including financial crime, business conduct, and emerging risk topics
• Draft clear, concise, and impactful audit reports
• Act as a sparring partner to management and senior stakeholders
• Monitor the implementation of agreed audit measures and recommendations
• Prepare statements and reports for the Head of Group Internal Audit, Board of Directors, and other decision-makers
• Take responsibility for the Panama and Bahamas locations, including annual risk assessments, activity planning, and acting as key contact
• Participate in special investigations, projects, and other internal audit initiatives
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert across relevant risk areas

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a Lead Auditor within banking, internal audit, or external audit
• Banking apprenticeship, certified bank professional, university or university of applied sciences degree, or equivalent qualification
• CIA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification is advantageous
• Certified Public Accountant qualification is a plus
• Strong knowledge of banking audit and risk management
• Experience with Avaloq is an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risks and set priorities
• Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to produce impactful written reports
• High level of integrity, accountability, and ownership
• Hands‑on and proactive working approach
• Ability to work independently
• Willingness to travel internationally, approximately 30 days per year
• Fluent English required, with strong written English skills
• German, French, or Spanish is an advantage
