Job summary

Celonic Basel, part of Celonic AG, invites applications for a Senior Lab Technician in Analytical Services. The role focuses on planning and executing analytical experiments, enabling GMP-ready method transfers, and coaching junior staff in a fast-paced biologics environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in biotech/pharma process development, strong U(H)PLC and ceSDS/cIEF skills, and hands-on LIMS experience. Fluency in English is essential; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Biological lab tech degree preferred or BSc in biotechnology or related field.
• 5+ years in biotech/pharma with process development and protein analytics.
• Proficiency with U(H)PLC devices and software (Empower, Chromeleon).
• Proficiency with ceSDS and cIEF incl. Maurice devices and iCE Compass.
• Experience with LIMS for method setup and reporting (STARLIMS).
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work autonomously and communicate in English; German a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and perform analyses, including data evaluation and reporting via databases and LIMS.
• Assist in interpretation of results.
• Support planning and reporting in analytical focus area.
• Support transfer/hand-over of analytical methods to GMP QC incl. validations.
• Regularly review/update/improve processes and SOPs.
• Work autonomously to meet timelines.
• Drive simple initiatives with limited guidance within the team.
• Follow EHS procedures and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
