Our client is an international, high-growth financial services company with a strong presence across Europe. To further strengthen its accounting function in Vaduz, Liechtenstein, the company is looking for an experienced and hands-on Senior Accounting Manager with an insurance background.

The Role

In this position, you will take ownership of day-to-day financial accounting and play a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient monthly closing activities. Working closely with Group Accounting and other internal stakeholders, you will help align local accounting practices with group-wide standards and reporting requirements.

Beyond operational accounting, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing scalable accounting processes, strengthening internal controls, and embedding new products and business models into the company’s financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive day-to-day financial accounting and the monthly financial close
• Implement and optimize group-wide accounting processes
• Design, establish, and roll out robust accounting processes and internal controls
• Collaborate closely with Group Accounting on joint closing activities, technical accounting alignment, and consolidated reporting
• Contribute to external financial reporting, regulatory filings, and local entity closings under local GAAP and IFRS
• Act as the primary contact for external auditors
• Provide technical accounting guidance on strategic initiatives and new product launches
• Ensure that new business models are effectively embedded into group-wide accounting processes and operational routines

Your Profile

• At least 5 years of professional experience in financial accounting or group accounting, gained directly within an insurance company
• Strong in-house experience in financial accounting and general ledger accounting
• Proven experience in designing, building, and rolling out group-wide accounting processes within a high-growth scale-up or listed corporate environment
• A proactive, hands-on, and self-starting approach
• Demonstrated ability to lead process implementation in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Ability to align local accounting practices effectively with group-level requirements
• Previous experience with a Big Four firm or another audit firm would be an advantage
