Zusammenfassung

Viking is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee key accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support compliance. The role reports to Senior Manager Accounting and is a 12-month fixed-term starting October 2026 to cover maternity leave.

Based in Basel, you will manage general ledger, month-end close, analyze variances, support audits, and collaborate with stakeholders on cost and profitability analyses, with potential for extension.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Management is required.
• CPA or ACCA certification preferred.
• 4+ years accounting/finance experience.
• Excellent English skills, verbal and written.

Aufgaben

• Oversee general ledger with month-end and year-end close.
• Prepare reports, memos and schedules per close calendar.
• Analyze financial results and report variances to budget/forecast.
• Maintain and verify accuracy of the general ledger.
• Research accounting issues and draft internal memos.
• Assist in documenting internal controls and process improvements.
• Coordinate with internal and external audit teams; SOX walkthroughs.
• Support quarterly reports and ERP issue corrections.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on cost and profitability analyses.
• Assist with ERP testing and future reporting system developments.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.
