Swissquote is hiring a Financial Accountant to join the Finance Department in Vaud, Switzerland. You will manage a broad set of accounting and financial reporting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely information for decision-making.

You will collaborate with the Accounting Team Lead and senior management on planning, analyses and reporting, supporting both local and foreign subsidiaries as needed.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or economics.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role ideally in the banking industry.
• Fluent in French and English (oral and written).
• Adaptable and experienced in managing complex financial matters within a dynamic environment.
• Meticulous with strong organizational skills and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong understanding of banking business and broader financial context.
• Experience with IFRS and ARB-FINMA is a plus.
• MS Office excellence; PowerBI, SQL and/or Python are a plus.
• Knowledge of Temenos T24 and OneStream is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain general ledger, prepare journal entries and accounting schedules/reconciliations for IFRS/ARB-FINMA or local GAAP.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual closings, including year-end work and external auditors' queries.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and unusual movements.
• Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, prepayments and other adjustments.
• Ensure appropriate accounting treatment for banking transactions and financial instruments.
• Support statutory and management financial statements and consolidated reporting where applicable.
• Lead accounting projects and provide guidance on complex issues.
• Prepare miscellaneous regulatory filings as assigned (e.g., SNB, FINMA).
