Hitachi Energy is seeking a Diffusion Maintenance Engineer/Technician to ensure uptime and reliability of semiconductor production tools. You will perform corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance, drive safety and line efficiency improvements, and collaborate across maintenance, process and production teams.

The role requires hands-on tooling experience, knowledge of diffusion equipment, metrology tools, and a proactive mindset for continuous improvement.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on maintenance of semiconductor production tools.
• Strong knowledge of electronics, mechanics and pneumatics.
• Experience with diffusion systems (ASM, Centrotherm ovens).
• Familiarity with metrology tools (Surfscan, Semilab WT-2000).
• Additional training or expertise in vacuum systems or related technologies.
• Completed technical vocational training in Automation/Electronics.
• Willingness to work in shifts.
• Proficiency in English; German is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Ensure maximum uptime of semiconductor production tools through proactive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Drive continuous improvement in equipment performance with 6S safety and efficiency practices.
• Collaborate with maintenance, process and production teams to meet performance goals.
• Participate in tool upgrades and modernization projects to enhance capability and reliability.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, status, and performance.
• Support root-cause analysis and problem resolution within the team.
• Train and mentor colleagues in diffusion, safety, and best practices.
• Promote a strong safety culture with compliance to regulations and procedures.
