Job summary

CTC Resourcing Solutions is recruiting a Scientist, Single-Cell and Spatial Omics for an 18-month contract in Basel. The role focuses on developing NGS methods, especially single-cell RNA sequencing and spatial/multi-omics workflows.

You will work with wet lab and bioinformatics teams, analyze data, and prepare reports while ensuring FAIR data practices and clear communication with project teams.

Qualifications

• Masters in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or Life Sciences.
• Hands-on experience with NGS workflows and molecular biology skills.
• Experience with FFPE, low-input samples is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate and implement NGS methods, incl. single-cell RNA sequencing and spatial/multi-omics.
• Independently perform experiments, analyze data and write reports.
• Ensure FAIR data generation with scientific rigor and documentation.
• Interpret sequencing data with wet lab and bioinformatics teams; provide insights.
• Present protocols and results to internal stakeholders.

We are currently looking for a Scientist, Single-Cell and Spatial Omics, 18-month contract, Basel.

Main Tasks:

• Develop, evaluate, and implement Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) methods and protocols, with emphasis on single-cell RNA sequencing and spatial or multi-omics applications
• Independently perform experiments, analyze data, and write high-quality reports
• Ensure the generation of FAIR-compliant data through scientific rigor
• Interpret complex sequencing datasets together with wet lab and bioinformatics teams and provide actionable insights to project teams
• Present protocols and results to internal stakeholders

Your Profile:

• Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required
• Master's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences or a related discipline
• 1 to 2 years of industry experience in genomics, in situ hybridization, imaging and spatial techniques
• Demonstrable hands-on experience with NGS workflows and strong molecular biology skills, including nucleic acid extraction, PCR/qPCR and NGS library preparation
• Experience with single-cell and spatial transcriptomics platforms is a plus
• Experience with challenging clinical sample types such as FFPE tissue, primary tumor cells and low-input samples
• Experience and enthusiasm for developing and refining experimental methods, working independently and communicating findings effectively
• Strong collaboration skills within and across matrix teams
