Job summary

RED Global is seeking an SAP EWM Consultant with Material Flow System expertise for a remote EU-based assignment. You will design, configure, and implement automated warehouse solutions, ensuring integration between SAP EWM and PLCs, conveyors, and AS/RS.

The role requires 6–10 years of SAP EWM experience, two full lifecycle implementations with MFS, and strong ABAP debugging skills. Knowledge of S/4HANA architectures is a plus.

• Two full lifecycle SAP EWM implementations involving MFS.

RED Global, on behalf of a Key Client Partner, is currently searching for an SAP EWM Consultant with specialized expertise in the Material Flow System (MFS). This role involves designing, configuring, and implementing automated warehouse solutions, ensuring seamless integration between SAP EWM and automated material handling equipment like PLCs, conveyors, and AS/RS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of SAP EWM with a primary focus on Material Flow System (MFS) functionality
• Configure communication channels, telegram structures, and routing logic between SAP EWM and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
• Collaborate with warehouse automation vendors to align system capabilities with physical automated hardware
• Troubleshoot and optimize automated warehouse processes by addressing bottlenecks in material flow and telegram processing
• Provide technical and functional guidance during testing, go-live, and hyper-care phases of automated warehouse deployments

Technical Skills & Requirements

• 6 to 10 years of hands-on experience as an SAP EWM functional or techno-functional consultant
• Proven track record of at least two full lifecycle SAP EWM implementations involving MFS
• Deep understanding of warehouse automation technologies such as Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS) and conveyors
• Strong capability to debug ABAP code, analyze MFS logs, and implement BADIs for custom telegram processing
• Experience working with S/4HANA decentralized or embedded EWM architectures
