Job summary

Michael Page International is seeking a sanctions specialist for a Geneva-based private bank. The role focuses on managing day-to-day sanctions matters, performing reviews, and advising across OFAC, EU, UK, SECO, and UN regimes.

The successful candidate will hold 5+ years of sanctions experience in financial services, with fluency in French and English; Russian is a plus. Availability ASAP is preferred with no notice period.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of dedicated sanctions experience, preferably in private banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of international sanctions frameworks and compliance controls.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and management.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day sanctions-related matters across the bank.
• Conduct sanctions reviews, investigations and risk assessments on clients and transactions.
• Review and analyse sanctions screening alerts and update policies.
• Provide guidance on OFAC, EU, UK, SECO and UN sanctions regimes.
• Escalate complex cases to senior management and contribute to training.
