Job summary

Bilfinger Life Science is seeking a Sales Manager to drive strategic accounts and expand the sales pipeline across EU and international markets. You will collaborate with engineering teams and customers to secure orders, negotiate contracts, and deliver revenue growth in pharma and biopharma sectors.

The role requires native German, fluent English, strong negotiation and presentation skills, and willingness to travel extensively for international projects. Basel-based role with global exposure.

Qualifications

• Native-level German and business-fluent English are required for client-facing activities.
• Degree in business or engineering is preferred and strong presentation/negotiation skills are essential.
• Experience in sales of plant engineering and piping construction projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop strategic accounts within the EU and globally.
• Expand and maintain a robust sales pipeline through market, competition, and customer analyses.
• Ensure order intake and revenue generation; drive structured sales and marketing programs.
• Prepare and negotiate contracts, and create offers and agreements; maintain CRM data.
• Regularly report revenue forecasts and ensure up-to-date customer/project records.

Tasks as Sales Manager

• Evaluation and development of strategic accounts
• Further development of a sales pipeline based on systematic analyses (market, competition, customers)
• Ensuring order intake and revenue generation
• Expansion and maintenance of existing relationships with customers and planners within the EU sales territory and globally
• Implementation and further development of structured sales and marketing strategies
• Preparation and execution of contract negotiations, as well as creation of offers and agreements
• Regular reporting and revenue forecasting, continuous maintenance of customer and project data in the CRM system

We are looking forward to meeting a candidate with

• Preferably a completed higher education in business or engineering (e.g. University of Applied Sciences or Technical University), specializing in business administration, engineering, process engineering, or pharmaceutical engineering
• Relevant experience in the sales of plant engineering and piping construction projects, preferably in industries such as Pharma & Biopharma
• Industry knowledge and/or an existing network with key decision-makers in the above mentioned industries
• Strong presentation skills, negotiation skills, and closing ability
• Native-level German proficiency and business-fluent English, both written and spoken
• High level of interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate oneself and others
• Basic knowledge of contract law
• Proficient in MS Office
• Time flexibility and a high willingness to travel
