Job summary

AYES GmbH in Lucerne, Switzerland, seeks a qualified Safety Engineer to assess complex electronic architectures and mechanical systems for civil aircraft. This full-time permanent position offers a challenging role in a growing international engineering company.

You will conduct safety analyses per SAE ARP 4754B/4761A, identify hazards, define safety requirements, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams through the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in aerospace/ mechanical/electrical engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in safety engineering and civil aircraft systems.
• Strong knowledge of SAE ARP 4754B and SAE ARP 4761A safety processes.
• Experience with safety analysis methodologies (FHA, FTA, FMEA, PSSA, SSA).
• Experience with Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) safety desirable.
• Fluency in English.

Position: Safety Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Perform safety assessments of complex electronic architectures and mechanical systems for civil aircraft.
• Conduct safety analyses in accordance with SAE ARP 4754B and SAE ARP 4761A standards.

• Perform Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA), Preliminary System Safety Assessments (PSSA), and System Safety Assessments (SSA).

Our Ideal Candidate Should Have

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in safety engineering and safety assessment of civil aircraft systems.
• Strong knowledge of SAE ARP 4754B and SAE ARP 4761A standards and associated safety processes.
• Experience with safety analysis methodologies, including FHA, FTA, FMEA, PSSA, and SSA.
• Previous experience in safety assessments of Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) architectures or avionics suites is highly desirable.
• Fluency in English
