Job summary

NVIDIA in Zürich is seeking dedicated PhD interns to join the robotics team. You will develop novel robot policies, world models, and sim-to-real transfer ideas, working with researchers and engineers on NVIDIA's robotics and simulation platforms.

You should be enrolled in a PhD program with strong Python skills and experience in PyTorch or JAX, ready to run rigorous experiments and contribute to publications.

Qualifications

• PhD candidate in CS/EE/Robotics.
• Experience with agentic policies, world models, sim-to-real transfer.
• Strong Python and DL framework experience (PyTorch/JAX).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with robotics and ML experts to scope novel, scientifically relevant projects.
• Design, implement, and evaluate robot learning methods in GPU-accelerated sims and real hardware when available.
• Run rigorous experiments with baselines, protocols, ablations, and clear reporting.
• Write clean, well-documented research code for the team to reuse.
• Work with researchers and product teams to transfer research into NVIDIA platforms.
• Deliver outcomes as prototypes, publications, and potential patents.
