Job summary

RIVR Technologies AG in Zürich is seeking a Procurement Engineer to bridge technical and business needs, handling six-figure procurements for robotics hardware while engineers focus on innovation.

You will own supplier relationships across Europe, China, and the USA, drive cost reductions, ensure on-time delivery, quality, and budget, and help professionalize supply chain workflows during our scaling phase.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in managing large purchase orders and vendor contracts.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and specs.
• Experience in hardware-centric procurement and supply chain.
• Ability to drive action in a startup scaling environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for technical suppliers on pricing, lead times and contracts.
• Manage purchasing for robot-specific components including PCBs and cables.
• Lead material tracking modernization and support ERP readiness.
• Partner with CTO in Zürich and supply chain lead in Shanghai on production plans.
• Identify supply risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Support make vs. buy decisions with cost justification.
• Oversee hardware transition from prototype to volume production.
