The Personnel Service in Oberägeri is seeking a Head of Social Department (80%) to lead and shape a social services unit. You will manage a team, oversee personnel planning and development, and ensure legally compliant social counselling, family and health services across multiple areas.

You bring a university of applied sciences degree in social work, strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to coordinate with authorities and stakeholders.

Aufgaben

• Lead the Social Department and ensure an impact-oriented, well-organised operation.
• Lead and develop the team, handling personnel planning and development.
• Ensure professional, legally compliant social counselling, economic social assistance, school social work, youth work, aging, health, and family care.
• Coordinate concerns from authorities, clients, and internal offices.
• Oversee quality assurance of applications, reports and submissions; participate in budget and accounting.
• Advise internal and external bodies on professional, legal and administrative matters.
• Ensure good internal and external communication with responsible offices.
• Represent the department in regional and cantonal committees.

Your tasks

• You lead the Social Department and ensure an impact-oriented and well-organised operation.
• You lead and develop your team and are responsible for personnel planning and development.
• You ensure the professionally correct and legally compliant implementation in the areas of social counselling, economic social assistance, school social work, youth work, ageing, health, and supplementary family care.
• You coordinate concerns from authorities, clients, and internal administrative offices.
• You are responsible for quality assurance as well as the professional and legal quality of applications, reports, and submissions.
• You participate in budget, investment planning, and accounting.
• You advise internal and external bodies on professional, legal, and administrative matters.
• Together with the responsible offices, you ensure good communication internally and externally.
• You represent the department in various regional and cantonal specialist and leadership committees.
