PH Zurich invites applications for a leadership role in the Primary Level Department to oversee practice teachers at the cooperation school in Fällanden. You will coordinate placements, manage budgets, and liaise between the cooperation school and PH Zurich while building networks with university representatives and school authorities.

Prospective candidates bring multiple years of teaching experience at the target level, strong organisational skills, and a willingness to advance qualifications

Qualifikationen

• Employment as a teacher in the Fällanden school community mandatory
• Several years of experience as a teacher at the target level and as a practice teacher
• Very good anchoring and networking in the staff at the schools belonging to the cooperation school
• Good organisational skills
• Flexible and constructive handling of different role expectationsHigh resilience, flexibility and enthusiasm for innovation
• Willingness and ability to communicate, especially proficiency in conducting conversations also in conflict situations
• Willingness to further qualify for this function

PH Zurich actively shapes education, school and teaching of today and tomorrow in teaching and research. The Primary Level Department is responsible for the training of primary school teachers. It currently offers three bachelor degree programmes as well as subject and level extensions that impart fundamental competences for teaching at the primary level.

Practical professional training is a core element of the studies for prospective teachers. From the first weeks of study, students gain insights into the professional everyday life at public schools in the canton of Zurich and take on increasing responsibility in the design of lessons during their studies.
