Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Trademark & IP Law Paralegal to work remotely from Switzerland for a U.S. law firm. You will support trademark prosecution, copyright and IP matters, managing filings with USPTO and maintaining portfolios.

The role requires at least 5 years of paralegal experience, strong US procedural knowledge, and excellent English. It offers fully remote work, long-term engagement, and collaboration with U.S. attorneys and clients.

Qualifikationen

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a paralegal, lawyer, or attorney.
• At least 2 years of experience working with a U.S. trademark or intellectual property law firm.
• Strong hands-on experience with U.S. trademark prosecution and portfolio management.
• Experience preparing and filing trademark applications, amendments, renewals, and post-registration maintenance documents.
• Practical experience working with the USPTO and TEAS.
• Strong understanding of trademark filing requirements, prosecution procedures, and critical deadlines.
• Experience maintaining trademark docketing systems and managing intellectual property portfolios.
• Experience assisting with USPTO Office Action responses.
• Familiarity with TTAB opposition and cancellation proceedings.
• Experience conducting trademark searches and reviewing USPTO records.
• Ability to work directly with U.S. attorneys and clients.
• Strong legal drafting, document preparation, and research skills.
• Experience using IP docketing software or legal case management systems.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 or cloud tools.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Stable employment history, ideally with 2+ years per role.
• Advanced practical experience using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini.
• Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office.
• Availability to work during U.S. business hours.

Aufgaben

• Assist with trademark prosecution and filings, including amendments, renewals, and declarations of use.
• Prepare and file Statements of Use and post-registration maintenance documents.
• Support USPTO Office Action responses with evidence collection and organization.
• Monitor portfolio status, deadlines, Office Actions, renewals, and maintenance requirements.
• Maintain trademark docketing systems and calendar deadlines.
• Prepare trademark watch reports and monitor conflicting marks.
• Organize digital case files and IP portfolios in case management systems.
• Conduct preliminary trademark searches and review USPTO records.
• Assist with TTAB opposition and cancellation proceedings.
• Support copyright registrations and other IP filings.
• Conduct legal and factual research on trademarks, copyrights, and IP matters.
• Coordinate with clients and foreign associates for information and documents.
• Prepare assignment documents and related legal correspondence.
