Balavant Employee Services Inc is seeking a Senior Underwriter for E&S Commercial Lines. The role combines hands-on underwriting with strategic portfolio development, reporting to the SVP of Underwriting, and leveraging a strong broker network to drive profitable growth.

The ideal candidate brings deep product expertise, autonomy, and a track record in specialty programs, with the ability to manage complex risks and contribute to product and process improvements.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 7–10 years of commercial lines underwriting experience.
• Deep expertise in at least one E&S specialty line.
• Proven track record of disciplined underwriting and broker relationship development.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret loss data and portfolio metrics.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate, price, and bind E&S submissions within delegated authority.
• Manage an assigned book across one or more specialty lines and monitor profitability.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with wholesale brokers and program partners.
• Collaborate with actuarial, claims, and operations teams to inform portfolio strategy.
