Zusammenfassung

Lever, Inc. is seeking a freelance 2D UI Artist based in Switzerland to shape polished visual experiences for upcoming games.

You’ll create high-quality icons, small props, and other 2D interface assets, working from sketches to production-ready assets and integrating them into Unreal Engine 5. Collaborate with UX, game design, and UI teams, iterate on assets from playtesting feedback, and ensure visual language stays cohesive.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years as 2D Artist/UI Artist focusing on game iconography or small props.
• Strong digital painting skills and understanding of rendering, color theory, and composition.
• Experience with game UI production: sprites, texture compression, and engine integration.
• Experience with Unreal Engine is highly desirable.
• Ability to work remotely and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Aufgaben

• Design and render high-quality 2D game icons for items, weapons, abilities, and resources.
• Take artwork from rough concepts to production-ready assets.
• Ensure visuals meet high quality and readability at small sizes.
• Follow art direction, color palettes, and UI style references.
• Maintain visual hierarchy and consistency across UI icons.
• Export and optimize assets for the game engine.
• Integrate assets into Unreal Engine 5 with proper setup.
• Manage sprite sheets, UI layouts, and texture compression for performance.
• Collaborate with UX/game designers and UI leadership.
• Iterate based on playtesting and feedback.
• Improve visual clarity while preserving artistic direction.
